The carport that Ben has always wanted
Ben has always wanted a carport and I have always said: "no thanks." But we have one and I have to say it looks pretty good and fits with the building nicely. Now the beloved truck has a home.

Plenty of stain and not too much pain

The facia and soffit are done!
(Ben does a dance of joy!)

We are still moving right along at Maggie's Way. Below is the siding which we are pre-staing.
After day one of staining, this pile makes me want to cry. We have had some very long days this week but when I see that siding go onto the building and things begin to look like a finished home (at least from the outside) my tears will dry. Windows today and if all goes well siding on Friday! Not all the siding is stained, but we have enough stained to do the first side.

We celebrated our anniversary. Ben has been pretty busy lately so a card didn't get made this year but he put some extra spray paint to work.

Notice the time in the next picture. This is 7:52 pm and Ben is mixing up another batch of concrete. He is determined to finish his project before bed, luckily his bed wasn't too far away.

We have a roof! It is the roof we have always wanted. . . our dream roof!

What's Happening on Maggie's Way?

The guys have spent the past few days in the air and got a few pictures of the yard from above.
It looks better from this distance. If you get much closer you'll notice all the mud, rocks, roots, etc.

We had to say goodbye to my dad today. He has been helping for the past 10 days so I guess he can go. Hopefully Ben didn't cry the whole way to work. We have had a lot of amazing helpers and we are very thankful to them all.

The entry way is framed, the green plywood is now complete, the roof is ready for metal, the wood under the overhang is up and painted and the trim along the overhang is up and painted. Don, I know you are looking for an update and I know that I don't know the correct name for any of those things but that's the latest!
