The trim around the interior doors is complete.

First faze of the biggest room in the house, (the mudroom) is complete.
The second faze will include shelves, a closet and a bench.

Sometimes you reach a breaking point and it is important to rest.

We hung the first pictures. I am sure that it was as important to Young MC (baby Keaton) as it was to me to have these pictures hung today!
For every project- there is a plan.

 Maple's section.

 She loves the snowblower.

Through snow and sleet Ben continues to work.

And his hard work is paying off and creating beauty.

The afterwork work outfit (not sure Ben knew this would end up on the blog)
Evening projects include, but are not limited to . . .

Installation of medicine cabinet and linen closet which were built by
Don Johnson of www.dajfinewoodworking.com and they are beautiful!

Installation of the lights over the bar.

Instillation of the hardware on the cabinets.

As well as hours in the beloved wood shop staining shingles and spraying interior doors.

Maple loves winter as much as Kadin did. It is fun to see her romping around in the yard.

We have moved the work inside and last night we moved out of the wood shop and into our home!
Thank you, Chris Jolly for your help! I am very happy to be sleeping so close to indoor plumbing.

Teaching Baby Keaton the value of hard work early.

We finished the second bedroom tonight.
Tired Benji and a shot of the floors in the rest of the place.

The Latest on Maggie's Way
The ramp has been replaced by temporary construction steps and a beautiful support system.
Thank you Jared for the beams and thank you Ben for building it.

Insulating is done in the upstairs! That wasn't the best weekend.

We moved into the woods shop while work continues upstairs.
Thank you Mom and Dad! It would have been a miserable weekend without your help.
It is actually pretty cozy and I am completely happy except when it is raining
and the big green toilet at the top of the driveway seems too far away!

We have a shower upstairs! A toilet is next on the list.

The walls are up and sheetrock has been hung.

Ben is painting like a mad man.
Many, many nights he is rockin' up there until 10:00 or 11:00pm.

And I will leave you with this cool shot that Ben took. The sunset reflecting off the windows.

It's Coming Together

With the completion of each phase of this project I get to see the vision that Ben has had all along.
It is a beautiful vision and I feel so fortunate to watch it come to life - our home and our future.
