Three day weekends are better than two

The weekend began with a canoe trip down the Saco river with Jared, Crystal and Hogan. It was a great way to spend the day.
This is a member of the "Budweiser Gang" that we had a few run-ins with on the river.

Kadin did a great job on the river. It was not her favorite part of the weekend, but she relaxed and even took a couple of quick naps.

Check out Crystal's cup holder.

Later that same day, the Red Baron sets sail. Ben was very eager to take a voyage and willing to brave the cool water.

12 puppies were delivered about 24 hours after this picture was taken.

Jared naps on the floor, while others put their ralley caps on and hope the Red Sox make their way back on top in the bottom of the 9th. They didn't.

Kadin took a bath in Colcord pond.
Think back to the last post and the rotten wood. . . we pulled a trailer load of wood out of this spot. Ben saw the potential of this spot and got a crew together and they built this. It is an amazing fire pit and I am already looking forward to the first fire.
The boys make one more fishing attempt on Blue pond (behind the house) and Ben brought in his first fish of the season.
Best friends snuggle up together at the end of a long weekend of playing hard.

You better hold on to that. . . .

with a little work we convinced Grampy that it was o.k. to let some rotten wood go and once we got started there was no stopping us. Even the blackflies (which were intense) didn't slow us down although those head nets didn't come off all weekend. Don't worry Danielle blackfly season should be over by the time you are here.
Load # 2, yes this is a second trailer load FULL!

Kadin had another great weekend at camp. She played and even stayed out of the flower gardens. I think she may be stealing Grampie's heart, sorry all you GSPs out there, I think there is a new favorite.

Our Sheep Dog

Kadin had her first experience with sheep this afternoon. She went right after them and tried to put them in their place. The sheep man didn't think that an australian shepherd could be much of a herder because he is a border collie guy but he was impressed with her skills. Now we need some sheep, ducks or a bunch of kids.

Back to NC

We had a wonderful weekend back in the Mts of NC. Something so special about that area.

And here are a few pictures from Easter weekend that Olivia finally posted on FB.
Our little Kadin is super smart and even knows who to root for, too bad Grandpa Bill can't be as smart as her.
