The Moonhills come to New Hampshire

Zane and the whole Holimon family settled in to NH very quickly. The first night we relaxed at home and the next morning we went for a walk behind the house.

We spotted scat, moose prints, deer, many bugs and a large turtle.
When we arrived back home uncle Ben and Zane looked up the name of the turtle that we saw. It was a snapper!

After the first long hike without a backpack Danielle bought a great new backpack for Zane and uncle Ben gave him a ride to test it out.
We spent an evening on the dog beach where Kadin can swim and Zane can skip rocks.

We took a trip to camp where Ben can sail and Zane can test the clams.

Zane ate and really enjoyed the steamed clams prepared by Uncle Ben.
After the clams, it was time for lobster and a canoe ride.
Our evening at camp was spent by the fire where Zane found plenty of entertainment with his measuring tape (which he was calling a weedwacker) and his new love. . the headlamp.
The next morning we went for a hike at camp.

Time for a snack and some time with Olivia.

More beans please!

Back to camp to celebrate Grampie's 88th birthday with a bean suppa' and chocolate cake. Ben spent most of the weekend on the sunfish, he likes to sail rain or shine. We had a fire in the new fire pit complete with bug repelling teki torches. Crystal and I did some swimming to train for the triathalon that is going to be here before we know it and Kadin is now happily swimming and jumping off the dock.

Sunday brings the rain so Ben gears up and heads out for a solo sail.
Kadin may have found the dirt pile.
Here she is so worn out that she is actually willing to snuggle.

Graduation 2009

It was a great weekend in Bangor. Friday night we had fish tacos and relaxed after the drive up. We started the day on Saturday with a long run/walk through the Bangor forest. Kadin kept up with the big boys (Kramer and Storm) and that was all the exercise she needed for the day. Then we went to see some of Olivia's photos and paintings that are on display at the Bangor library. Very cool Liv! From there we went downtown for some dinner and live music. Sunday was all about the Graduate and I didn't take out the camera until Sunday so that is all you will see documented. We had a brunch with family and friends where we watched a great slide show of Liv, which brought tears to my eyes. The show was created with much love by Dad and played on Liv's new Mac. Take care of that computer Olivia. It was an emotional weekend for me as I just can't believe this time has come and we all really missed Grammie, because we know that she wanted to be there and she was in her own special way.

The 12 new puppies made an appearance.
