A picture or two from each day

Ben checks the tire pressure and oil because that is what Ben does.
We enjoy a cup of hot tea at our first campsite which was on the red sand beaches of PEI. We brought a 12 pack of beer with us and came home with the same 12 pack, but we finished off a box of hot tea and about 12 juice boxes.
This is the 7 mile bridge that takes you to and from PEI.
This is the toll due when you leave PEI. It is a great bridge, but wow that is a serious toll.

This hill really was a painful as Ben's face indicates. We felt like champions at the top.

More pictures to come soon.

The Black Fly Tri

Waterville Valley, NH is a great place to spend the weekend. We found our new annual triathalon. The BlackFly Tri is a .25 mile swim, 15 mile bike ride and 3 mile run. The course and the area were picturesque.

Megan and Ben warmed up with a kayak race, while Caitlyn and I sipped on a cold beer.

Sailing, Sunshine, and Lobsters

The first annual Colcord Pond Sunfish Regatta went off without a hitch. Well actually my Dad might say that his flip at the half-way mark was a hitch, but Ben was happy to take the W. It was an exciting weekend for Ben. Two sailboats on the lake is something that he has been dreaming about since we moved to NH.

We also enjoyed the new floating docks.
The Barkers came to visit and Caitlyn and I got some swimming in, which is good considering we are signed up for a sprit triathalon and it is in 3 weeks.

Lobsters. . . .

Kadin was just a bit tired after a day at camp.

A Beautiful Weeekend

The weekend began with Ben's maiden voyage in the new Sunfish. He stayed upright and came home with a big smile. While he sailed I made my first strawberry-rhubarb pie.

The Gordons have new hiking boots so we took the boots out for a spin on Mt Kearsarge. It was a beautiful day for a hike, although everyone struggled not to go "bug-crazy". The blackflies were definitely out.

On Sunday the boys took the dogs on a Mt bike ride behind the house.
We thought that would finish Kadin off, but she came home ready for frisbee.
