We have moved the work inside and last night we moved out of the wood shop and into our home!
Thank you, Chris Jolly for your help! I am very happy to be sleeping so close to indoor plumbing.

Teaching Baby Keaton the value of hard work early.

We finished the second bedroom tonight.
Tired Benji and a shot of the floors in the rest of the place.

The Latest on Maggie's Way
The ramp has been replaced by temporary construction steps and a beautiful support system.
Thank you Jared for the beams and thank you Ben for building it.

Insulating is done in the upstairs! That wasn't the best weekend.

We moved into the woods shop while work continues upstairs.
Thank you Mom and Dad! It would have been a miserable weekend without your help.
It is actually pretty cozy and I am completely happy except when it is raining
and the big green toilet at the top of the driveway seems too far away!

We have a shower upstairs! A toilet is next on the list.

The walls are up and sheetrock has been hung.

Ben is painting like a mad man.
Many, many nights he is rockin' up there until 10:00 or 11:00pm.

And I will leave you with this cool shot that Ben took. The sunset reflecting off the windows.

It's Coming Together

With the completion of each phase of this project I get to see the vision that Ben has had all along.
It is a beautiful vision and I feel so fortunate to watch it come to life - our home and our future.

The carport that Ben has always wanted
Ben has always wanted a carport and I have always said: "no thanks." But we have one and I have to say it looks pretty good and fits with the building nicely. Now the beloved truck has a home.

Plenty of stain and not too much pain

Our first dinner in the dining room

A chilly morning

The facia and soffit are done!
(Ben does a dance of joy!)

We are still moving right along at Maggie's Way. Below is the siding which we are pre-staing.
After day one of staining, this pile makes me want to cry. We have had some very long days this week but when I see that siding go onto the building and things begin to look like a finished home (at least from the outside) my tears will dry. Windows today and if all goes well siding on Friday! Not all the siding is stained, but we have enough stained to do the first side.

We celebrated our anniversary. Ben has been pretty busy lately so a card didn't get made this year but he put some extra spray paint to work.

Notice the time in the next picture. This is 7:52 pm and Ben is mixing up another batch of concrete. He is determined to finish his project before bed, luckily his bed wasn't too far away.

We have a roof! It is the roof we have always wanted. . . our dream roof!
