Fall is in the air

The blaze orange is out, the robes are on and the apples are sweet. The Gordons came for a visit this weekend and Kadin is finally worn out. Kadin and Hogan played constantly for a day and half and now she is napping away the afternoon. Ben is in New York for over a week so it was great to have some help exercising the puppy this weekend.

Chris buried some beans and dinner was server 24 hours later. I think he made about 10 lbs of beans so we have been eating beans for days. They were delicious but beans and Ben have never been the greatest combination.
I made an angel food cake which as you can see it was a bit of a disaster.
Kadin made a new friend. She was great with Gaven and he loved playing with her.


Kadin's dream came true. . . Megan let her chase the sheep. They weren't that in to her. I think the sheep got all the exercise they ever wanted. Mikey was foaming at the mouth.

Laboring and loving life on labor day weekend

Well the above picture pretty much says it all. We did some painting and smiled all the way through it. It was a beautiful, bug free, sunshiny, cool air, perfect weekend. It was really great to be at camp with family and friends.




Just in case you missed it the first time. . . I'll throw this picture in at the end. Dad slipped and spilled just a bit of paint. Good news is we laughed hard and no one was hurt.

J Pac is back in New Hampshire!

Last weekend Jarrod and Ben spent some time perfecting their leap off the rope swing at Colcord pond and Oliva captured some great shots on her camera.



The next day they did some fishing and hit it big at Blue pond. Many, many, many days Ben fishes in Blue pond and comes home empty handed. On this day Jarrod and Ben caught enough for dinner for all, including Kadin.

Last night before Kadin went to the vet she was swept off her feet.

A Not So Happy Puppy

Kadin is recovering nicely from her trip to the vet. She was spayed today and she is a very different dog than the one we are used to. I guess we should just enjoy the quiet evening.

Well it has been a busy couple of weeks but here is a quick Kadin update. She is having an excellent summer full of swimming, hiking, puppy play and dirt.

Triathlon Completed!

Caitlyn, Crystal and I have all completed our first sprint (short) triathlon and it was great! The race included a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride, a 3 mile run and 3,000 women. We went down on Saturday and picked up our race numbers, swim caps and all the free samples we could throw in our bags.


A little after 5 am and we were at the race site parking area getting ready to ride with all our gear in to the race venue. The hotel we stayed at opened their breakfast at 4:30 am for all the racers.
This is my transition towel where I set out all my gear in order to move from one part of the race to the next as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, I forgot to attach my race number before the run.
